This is the website of the Election Commission of the City of Zagreb, which presents current news on elections being held in the Republic of Croatia or in the City of Zagreb.
The Election Commission takes care of the lawful preparation and conduct of elections, and its competence is determined by legislation regulating the election of members of the Croatian Parliament, the election of the President of the Republic of Croatia, the election of members to the European Parliament from the Republic of Croatia, conduct of local elections, the election of members of councils and representatives of national minorities in local and regional government units, as well as by legislation regulating the financing of political activities and electoral campaigning and mandatory instructions of the Election Commission.
Pursuant to the Decision on the Professional Service of the City Assembly of the City of Zagreb, professional, technical, and other duties related to the preparation and conduct of elections are performed by the Professional Service of the City Assembly of the City of Zagreb.
